Building Blocks
Have you ever watched a child play with building blocks?  They build and build and build, get it just right, and immediately tear it down and start over.  Have you ever felt that this is how your company's marketing goes; you plan and plan and plan, implement it, and almost immediately you scrap the plans and go back to the drawing boards to try again.  I'm finding "The Secret to Marketing" books are similar to the instruction booklets for children's blocks.  If you follow the formula you will get success, but only after some refinement will the final outcome be your creation.  I've read that the marketing experts keep a journal with notes of what works and what doesn't and why.  They say if something doesn't work right for one project, it just might be the solution for another project.  I'm starting my personal marketing journal, will you be starting your's too?
